Introduction
The Trustees of the Charity are legally responsible for the
general control and management of the administration of the
Charity. They may serve up to four years and seek re- election
at the end of their term and 12 out of the 16 trustee positions
must be held by persons resident or working in, or who have
special knowledge of Ealing and/ or Brentford.
Board vacancies are advertised in the local
press.
The Board has access to ongoing training
opportunities to assist in fulfilling its roles and responsibilities.
The full Board of Trustees meets six times
a year to agree strategy, oversee operations, manage risk
and give detailed consideration to the financial standing
of the Charity. In addition to the main meetings of Trustees
there are a number of sub- committees which focus on specific
areas of the business in more detail. Currently there are
sub committees have been set up to oversee Finance, Housing
and Equal Opportunities, Grants and Development and Staff,
Terms and Conditions of Service.
In addition to the Board meetings, trustees
attend an annual review day which allows for detailed discussions
on strategic planning issues.
The day to day running of the Charity
is delegated to the Chief Executive who reports to the Chair
and the Board of Trustees.
