Introduction

The Trustees of the Charity are legally responsible for the general control and management of the administration of the Charity. They may serve up to four years and seek re- election at the end of their term and 12 out of the 16 trustee positions must be held by persons resident or working in, or who have special knowledge of Ealing and/ or Brentford.

Board vacancies are advertised in the local press.

The Board has access to ongoing training opportunities to assist in fulfilling its roles and responsibilities.

The full Board of Trustees meets six times a year to agree strategy, oversee operations, manage risk and give detailed consideration to the financial standing of the Charity. In addition to the main meetings of Trustees there are a number of sub- committees which focus on specific areas of the business in more detail. Currently there are sub committees have been set up to oversee Finance, Housing and Equal Opportunities, Grants and Development and Staff, Terms and Conditions of Service.

In addition to the Board meetings, trustees attend an annual review day which allows for detailed discussions on strategic planning issues.

The day to day running of the Charity is delegated to the Chief Executive who reports to the Chair and the Board of Trustees.
